Here's what everyone is doing for the project thus far:
Al: Characters(Maya, Brandon, who else? you can edit this post and fill them in), a pan shot of Las Vegas
Christy: Chiloe, characters(Maunel, the dog, baby Maya, Popo, and maybe Nini[unless Al had this one on his list])
Kim: The drug den in Las Vegas, some shots of nice Vegas like the interior of Ceasar's Palace, and props associated with those places, props for Manuel's place
Alvyn: The truck, manuals boat, and Nina's vw
Dang: The motel. Which motel? The one where they rob the guy or the one where she is raped? So this would mean both interior and an exterior
Kristine: Rehab in Oregon shot maybe? Maybe the corrupted cop too if no one's claimed it yet. I will also like to do some concept shots of Berkeley too.
Depending which section we choose to us in our animatic next week we still has things that can be concepted out:
BERKELEY(tons of areas there), THE CORRUPT POLICE OFFICER(or did Al or Christy decide to do this), THE REHAB CENTER(I forgot if someone had chosen this), OTHER AREAS OF CHILOE(but coordinate with Christy because she has first pick of the places there), did I forget anything else?
FOR NEXT WEEK WE NEED A 90 SECOND ANIMATIC. Both Al and Christy have expressed interest in doing this so if you both work together it will be great~ So we can as a group discuss it at the Sunday meeting.
I'll also take baby-Maya, Popo and Nini. (unless Al started Nini already, I only mentioned popo last tues.)

I would really like to help with the props at Manuel house. It would be a nice contrast from the Vegas stuff.

ReplyDeleteI cannot make it today. I have been at a wedding. I am working on maya for different stages of her life/look. Also have been designing the vampires. Not sure if we'll need them. Thoughts? I am still thinking of doing Nini (Cristy lets talk about Nini, I'm not super attached to her as of yet) Also, I would LOVE to work on the animatic!!
ReplyDeleteDo we need the truck driver, biological mom, other drug associates, and FBI agents? I wrote down all of those as things that I would be working on.
DeleteI think drug associates, and the truck driver would be good. I don't know if we had included the FBI agents in any of our plans so that may not be worth the time to do them.
DeleteCoolio, that's about what I was thinking. I see no particular relevance for the mother either, but i'm happy to design her if there is a reason to do so.
DeleteAL- I thought it'd make sense if I did Nini since she's the compliment of Popo... if you've started young-maya already, i wouldnt need to do her as a baby- and that'd make sense when you're also doing her older self.
DeleteI wanted popo/nini, manuel, and the dog b/c they're my fave characters and lately, my portfolio has been mostly creeps and crawlies. It's time for some different material, but I wanted to do some that I could relate to...
Totally cool! the dark side of this book is the part I enjoy the most, so gritty bad decisions are really what has me stoked. Go ahead and take them! That sounds perfect.
